I have been searching high and low for resources and links that make creating compositions easier. Many hours of research went into solving problems and I thought I'd share...

Most of my tools (with the exception of Apophysis) are running in OSX. I ran into all kinds of issues with Poser files being PC, the best way to deal with this, etc etc yada yada yada. I'll just post links with little notes. If anyone has questions about any of this stuff, just let me know!

Wine [link] - This nifty little application allows me to run .exe files in OSX, and it works like a charm. Depending on the program you might need to find and drop a couple of .dll files into the wine folder. (Both the Poser and DAZ installers needed one) ((I found this easier than running my Windows partition on VMWare and copying back and forth))

RSRConv [link] - This is a drag and drop app that works kinda in tandem with the above for me. I install the Poser/DAZ files, then use this to convert PC files to mac.

Organizing Poser Content Tutorial [link] - If you've never used Poser before, and are going to buy it, by gosh read this tutorial first or you will have a mess!

Daz3D [link] - If you've never created 3d pieces or people before and you'd like to try - this is a nice free way to try it out.

Morphing Clothes [link] - This was money well spent. If you're not really good with magnets in Poser and doing all kinds of tricky custom settings, you will not regret this purchase. Make ANY props fit any character. I run this Windows program on OSX using the above program Wine.

ShareCG [link] - All kinds of nice people put out 3d props for the general public to use in renders, licensing varies.

Flaming Pear Plugins [link] - These guys make THE best photoshop/paint shop plugins for creating metals (in my opinion). They also have a variety of other nifty plugins and offer quite a bit of free stuff.

Apophysis [link] - Beautiful free fractal software. Plenty of tutorials and such about this program here on deviantART.

Inkscape [link] - This is an open source (free) vector graphics editor.

GIMP [link] - This is a free raster graphics editor.
